Hand harvested by a small team of experts. Selection takes place in the vineyard. Goldjoch is harvested late, in the second half of november.

Vineyard

The vineyards' full name is 'Goldenen Jochen' and its' soil is composed of sand. It is a steep slope that is exceptionally warm and dry. The grapes obtain a golden colour.

Vinification

Fermentation in large wooden casks.

Barrel aging

Seven months in large, used wooden casks.

Colour

Gold/yellow.

Aroma

Refined and complex, tones of honey, melon and tangerines.

Palate

Typical impressions of spices and black pepper, powerful and full-bodied thanks to wood aging. Long, spicy finish.

Food pairing

Excellent with fish or scampi, with spicy Asian dishes.

8-10° C.
