| Over het wijnhuis | Anita Neveu was vroeger professioneel wielrenster. Met dezelfde ‘drive’ stopt ze tegenwoordig al haar energie in het maken van Beaujolais-wijnen op Domaine Anita. Anita gebruikt daarvoor alleen terroirs van hoge kwaliteit. Daarmee maakt ze wijnen van de Gamay-druif die al diverse hoge scores kregen van gerenommeerde critici, waaronder Robert Parker, James Suckling en Wine Enthusiast. |
| Wijngaard en regio | Afkomstig uit de lieu-dit 'Aux Caves' in de appellatie Moulin-à-Vent. Deze wijngaard ligt op een ondergrond van verweerd roze graniet, op een hoogte van 240 meter, en is gericht op het oosten/zuidoosten. De wijnstokken zijn 45 jaar oud. Bijzonder aan de Reine de Nuit is dat de druiven voor deze cuvée 's nachts worden geplukt en geselecteerd in de wijngaard. |
| Vinificatie | De gisting vindt gedurende 12 dagen plaats via de macération semi-carbonique techniek, ook wel "Vinification Beaujolaise" genoemd, met een koude inweking. Dit geeft de wijn een fruitig karakter en zorgt voor een soepele smaakstructuur. Na de gisting rijpt de wijn 7 maanden in cementen tanks en vervolgens 3 maanden in de fles. |
