| Over het wijnhuis | Het in 2000 opgerichte Toscaanse wijnhuis van de charismatische Bibi Graetz heeft de afgelopen twintig jaar een ware cultstatus bereikt. Het wijnhuis kent met zijn eigenzinnige wijnen én kunstzinnige etiketten vele liefhebbers. Daar hoort ook de internationale wijnpers bij, die inmiddels de topwijnen Colore en Testamatta jaarlijks zeer hoge punten toekent. |
| Wijngaard en regio | De druiven komen uit de Pietrabone-wijngaard op het eiland Isola del Giglio, gelegen voor de Toscaanse kust. De bodems zijn hier arm en bevatten veel graniet. De zeewind beïnvloedt het klimaat aanzienlijk. Voor de Casamatta Bianco worden de jonge wijnstokken gebruikt die niet in Testamatta en Colore belanden. |
| Vinificatie | De druiven worden ontsteeld en daarna zacht geperst (met droogijs). Het sap wordt vergist in RVS tanks op een hele lage temperatuur om frisheid te bewaren. Dit proces duurt twee weken. Na het blenden rijpt de wijn nog 3 maanden in RVS tanks. |

Soft in texture, there's a beautiful balance between its sweet-fruited core and bitter, savoury elements.
