De wijngaarden van Château Beau-Site grenzen aan die van Château Calon-Ségur, een 3e Grand Cru Classé van Saint-Estèphe. |

" - James Suckling "Fragrant red cherries and strawberries on the nose, smells gorgeous, rich, round, vibrant, deep and dark but lifted with milk chocolate and flowers. Quite tight still, there’s a seriously linear, focused frame to this where the flavours are all constricted into one line giving some sharp blackcurrant, cherry and strawberry tones with mineral edges - lots of wet stone and slate. A metallic tang to the palate. I like the nuance, even though it’s young with tension, it’s well defined. More serious than some, not so generous and friendly at the moment but supple and succulent. Definitely structured, really very St-Estèphe. I like the terroir markers. Slightly austere which you expect with the acidity carrying the strawberry, herbal, medicinal elements. Needs some more time. 2% Cabernet Franc completes the blend." - Decanter |
