| Over het wijnhuis | Château Le Prieuré heeft een geschiedenis die teruggaat naar 1696, al ging het toen door het leven onder de naam Cru des Cordeliers. Sinds 2021 is het in handen van Les Terroirs de Suravenir, een Franse verzekeringsmaatschappij die ook Château Calon-Ségur in Saint-Estèphe, Château Vray Croix de Gay in Pomerol, Château Siaurac in Lalande-de-Pomerol bezit. Château Le Prieuré is aan de rechteroever te vinden, in Saint-Émilion om precies te zijn. De wijngaarden liggen op een steenworp afstand van Château Trotte Vieille en Château Pavie Macquin. |

| Awards | "Dark berry fruit, orange peel and walnuts on the nose. It’s juicy and medium-bodied, with pretty citrus undertones to the berry fruit. Fine tannins. From organically grown grapes. Try in 2024." - James Suckling "The 2021 Le Prieuré has a fleshy and open bouquet with smudged red berry fruit, orange pith and potpourri scents, the latter becoming more prominent with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a citric entry, linear and lightly spiced. It just does not quite muster the complexity on the finish I was anticipating from barrel, ending up a rather conservative Saint-Émilion, though one that is balanced with a fresh, peppery finish." - Vinous "Supple and nicely agile on the palate, with flavors of cool blackcurrants, just ripe strawberries - verging on tart, but actually giving this quite a lifted, bright expression.
