Moulin Riche werd jarenlang als (onofficiële) tweede wijn van Léoville Poyferré gezien, maar sinds de legendarische vintage van 2009 wordt de wijn onder eigen naam uitgebracht. |

| Awards | "Sweet tobacco and dark berries with currant and violet undertones. Full body, layers of tannins and a solid center-palate, showing an interplay of fruit and tannins. This needs time to soften. One of the best I have had from here. 48% cabernet sauvignon, 29% merlot and 23% petit verdot. Drink after 2027." - James Suckling "The 2019 Moulin Riche is a powerful, bold wine. Black cherry, gravel, smoke, licorice, tar and incense confer gravitas and weight. Potent tannins are well matched and very much confirm that impression. This is an especially somber, muscular Saint-Julien with a ton of character. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and lively, with bright acids and powdery tannins, it's open and charming. This was once a second wine for Léoville-Poyferré, but as the vineyard (which was replanted by Didier Cuvelier) matured, it became an estate in its own right, with a second wine of its own, derived from a 20-hectare block located in inland Saint-Julien." - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate "Tasted blind.
