Moulin Riche werd jarenlang als (onofficiële) tweede wijn van Léoville Poyferré gezien, maar sinds de legendarische vintage van 2009 wordt de wijn onder eigen naam uitgebracht. |

A bit of a clash between sweetness of fruit and the notable acidity. Not yet meshed or not quite balanced, hard to say. Black cherry, gravel, spice, new leather, incense and mocha all build nicely in the glass. There's real breadth and textural intensity here. It has layers of black fruits and tannins in the background. It is young but will develop relatively quickly. Delicacy in terms of texture and overall appeal, it has an excellent balance between fine but filling tannins, acidity and the plush cool blue fruit. It's muscular in a sense but also charming at the same time with succulence and liquorice, clove and saline touches on the end showing the markings of the terroir. I love it. 3.85pH. Tasted twice.
