It's a blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot from a 20-hectare block located in inland Saint-Julien." - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate "Rich and deep aromas of blackberries, dark chocolate, peppercorns and mussel shells. Flavorful and pretty full-bodied on the palate, with firm, dusty tannins and a long, compact finish. A complete St.-Julien that needs two more years in the bottle. Smells dark and concentrated, quite tightly in check in terms of the aroma at this young stage but there's rich, pure cassis emerging as it opens along with an oaky sweetness. On the palate, this seems fresher than the M de Moulin Riche, the tannins firm but more elegant, not as thickly chewy nor quite as resolved.
