De resultaten zijn met recht een ode aan de unieke Kimmeridge-bodems te noemen. |
| Wijngaard en regio | Afkomstig van de Grand Cru wijngaard Les Preuses. Door de zuidwestelijke ligging en de bodem beschikt deze wijngaard over een uniek terroir. De bodem bestaat uit mergel en kimmeridgien, waardoor de wijnstokken nog dieper kunnen wortelen. De wijnstokken zijn geplant tussen 1950 en 1973. |
| Vinificatie | De gisting vindt plaats op een gecontroleerde temperatuur in RVS tanks. Daarna rijpt de wijn op de gistcellen ('sur lie') gedurende 15 maanden, waarvan 30% in eikenhouten vaten. Dit maakt de wijn zachter en geeft de wijn extra complexiteit mee. |

The palate is fresh and saline on the entry, with fine weight and depth. It feels fluid, harmonious and slightly candied toward the finish. I look forward to seeing how this will age in bottle.
