Druivenras	Nebbiolo
Wijngaard en regio	De druiven komen uit de cru Brunate, die in de twee comunes Barolo en La Morra in Barolo ligt. De leeftijd van de wijnstokken varieert, met de oudste wijnstokken meer dan 40 jaar oud. De wijngaard ligt op het zuid/zuidoosten. De bodems bestaan voornamelijk uit kalksteen en klei met wat zand.
Vinificatie	De druiven vergisten voor 25-30 dagen op een gecontroleerde temperatuur in RVS tanks, waarbij de schillen in contact zijn met het sap dat regelmatig over wordt gepompt. De wijn rijpt vervolgens minimaal 3 jaar in grote eikenhouten vaten van Slavonisch hout (50 hl).
Kleur	Granaatrood.
Geur	Tonen van specerijen, tabak, munt, salie, rook en kersen.
Smaak	Serieus en droog, gedreven door fruit en kracht.
Serveren bij	Lekker bij fazant met cantharellen.

Awards	"Barolo. Tasted blind. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Minerally, spicy red-fruit nose with a hint of camphor and with a sweet edge to it. Plenty of plush, spicy fruit on the palate, which erroneously leads you to believe this is ready now. Gorgeous sappy acidity and really fine tannins that slowly build up on the finish.
