Over het wijnhuis	Het historische wijnhuis van Dr. Bürklin-Wolf behoort niet alleen tot de absolute top van de Duitse wijnregio Pfalz, maar zelfs tot de wijngrootheden van Duitsland. Het wijnhuis heeft een indrukwekkend en zeer uitgebreid bezit in een aantal van de mooiste wijngaarden van de Pfalz. Dr. Bürklin-Wolf werkt volledig biologisch-dynamisch om wijnen met zoveel mogelijk terroirexpressie te maken. En of dat is gelukt! De (altijd droge) Rieslings van Dr. Bürklin-Wolf combineren de kracht en rijkheid van de Pfalz met een waanzinnige finesse en plaatsgebondenheid.
Wijngaard en regio	Afkomstig uit het perceel Rechbächel in het dorp Wachenheim in de Mittelhaardt in de Duitse wijnregio Pfalz. Dit perceel is volledig in bezit van Dr. Bürklin-Wolf en werd aangeplant in 1971. De wijngaard ligt op een heuvel richting het zuiden, met veel zon. De bodems bevatten veel verweerd (rood en geel) zandsteen en daarnaast gravel en kalksteen.
Vinificatie	De druiven worden als hele trossen geperst. Het sap wordt spontaan vergist. De wijn rijpt in grote, gebruikte eikenhouten vaten. De wijn rijpt daarbij 'sur lie', wat de wijn extra complexiteit en romigheid geeft.
Kleur	Lichtgeel.
Geur	Citroenschil, mandarijn, passievrucht. Witte bloemen. Rook en vuursteen.
Smaak	Zowel delicaat als geconcentreerd. Heel precies gemaakt met heldere zuren. Mineraal en iets ziltig. Lengte.
Serveren bij	Lekker bij een kalfstartaar met dragonmayonaise.

Awards	"The 2022 Wachenheimer Rechbächel P.C. Monopole is remarkably subtle and at the same time intense on the nose that is pure, fresh and stony as well as herbal and seriously saline. Pure and vital as well as mineral on the palate, this is a transparent, sandstone-driven vin de terroir with firm but fine tannins intermingled with salts and phenolics. The finish is floral but also structured and still saline. This is a puristic long-distance runner that deserves our patience for a few years, after which you will be rewarded. 12.5% stated alcohol.
